Only 1500 iPhones got Sold in first week in India

By Dhadkan of India • Aug 30th, 2008 • Category: News

With so much hype on the launch of iPhones in India, it has been reported that both Airtel and vodafone, were not able to sell more than 1500 iPhones in the first week of its launching in India.

The primary reason for this is obviously a very high price of Rs 31,000 of iPhones in India and the fact that its going to come down heavily during diwali season.

When iPhones was launched in US and Japan, it was offered at $599 but now it only sales at $199 and people are expecting similar drops of pricing in India too.

Another problem with iPhone is it only works with Vodafone/Airtel as compared to rival blackberry.
