Australian all rounder Andrew Symonds was fined and was decided by team coach and acting captain that he will not play in any of the remaining 2 one day internationals against bangladesh.
Symonds, 33 was supposed to take part in a team meeting on friday evening but instead went for fishing. This is not the first time he has faced problem as in 2005, he went through all night drinking session and than reportedly reached in ground in drunk condition. He was than suspended for 2 matches. In the last series against west indies, he had also failed to be on ground in time after missing the player bus.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs was reported death by New York based bloomberg website creating a sort of chaos in Tech world. There were reports coming for years now about deteriating health of Steve jobs. Before the world would had reacted, bloomberg responded that it was a mistake that they published a orbituary of steve jobs.
The 17 page obituary wasn't meant to be publish and the news is certainly not true. Its just that Most of the newspaper keeps the obituary of prominent people ready in advance for internal records and by mistake it got published. Its interesting to note that since his diagnosis with Pancreatic cancer in 2003, there have been questions asked about steve jobs health regularly though steve has always kept silence on his health.

With so much hype on the launch of iPhones in India, it has been reported that both Airtel and vodafone, were not able to sell more than 1500 iPhones in the first week of its launching in India.
The primary reason for this is obviously a very high price of Rs 31,000 of iPhones in India and the fact that its going to come down heavily during diwali season.

Not so long, laptops were considered luxory items and was only used by business people on run. Than it become more common and students started using it as the prices of laptops became more comparable with desktops, now laptops are going to touch mind blowing, Rs 5k mark.
In an interview today, Union Minister for Communication and Information Technology, A Raja announced that the laptop industry looking to deliver laptops and nettops (laptops solely used for browsing internet) at the 5K price range.

Sri Lanka has beaten India in the rain interrupted dead rubber match by 112 runs.
After winning the toss, Sri Lanka decided to bat first, which seems to be the preferred choice of captains on Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
After a slow start and losing Sanath Jayasuriya early, BSM Warnapura and ML Udawatte gave Sri Lanka a good foundation with a partnership of 77 Runs but than saw a sudden collapse losing 5 wickets in 55 runs. Struggling at 133 for 6, Mubarak (47 notout) and Tushara (54 not out) gave them excellent finish and took Sri Lanka to a respectable score of 227 for 7. Ojha took 2 wickets for 28.

As per the latest data released by TRAI (Telecom regulatory authority of India), the current number of phone users in India is 33.4 Crore. Just in the month of july, it has added 90 lakh new phone users.
Out of 33 Crore, around 29 crore are wireless subscribers including GSM, CDMA and WLL and the rest are land line users.

Many of the matches of rebel league ICL will be played in Ahmedabad's Sardar Patel Stadium. ICL in its second year (this will be its 3rd edition) is starting from 10th of October. The total number of matches to be played in ICL are 34

It looks that after huge uproar on Reservation in IITs for students, the issue will again heat up on having reservation in IITs for faculties.
Most of the faculties in IITs are opposing this and feels IITs are institute of national importance and hence any kind of reservation should not be forced on it.

Today the weakened Rupee crossed the 44 mark as compared to US Dollar.
This has been caused due to high number of FIIs selling rupee and buying dollars. This is happening for the past 15 to 20 days now and rupee is further expected to decline more.
Falling rupee is certainly a good news for exporters and IT companies who were under pressure after US slowdown. Yesterday there was a news that Satyam has delayed new recruitment.

Delhi high court has issues show cause notice to Sports channel Ten sports for not sharing feed with DD for Indian SriLanka one day matches.
It is worth noting that all the channels who are telecasting One day and 20-20 matches involving India have to share the live feed with State sponsored Doordarshan.
