I just visited Apollo Hospital Delhi today for some regular checkup and I was amazed by the professionalism of the staff (I can say the same thing about other Big Corporate Delhi hospitals too), everything was well organized unlike government hospitals where everything is way too chaotic.
After looking at these corporate hospitals, I strongly feels that corporatism of healthcare in India is going to next big thing, ofcourse they have to maintain the balance between rich and poor too as we can't put all the resources and best doctors to treat people who are paying big bucks. Another thing which I found visiting these hospitals is the number of foreign patients, these hospitals have tieup with companies like exoHealth which help them to get foreign patients, what this does to hospitals is, they can earn big bucks through foreign patients and can channel a part of that earning to treat poor patients of India who can not afford escorts/apollo etc.
