Axe Effect Advertisement banned from TV
By Dhadkan of India • Aug 25th, 2008 • Category: UncategorizedThe axe effect deodorant advertisement of a chocolate boy (see image) has been banned by Information and Broadcasting ministry of India for being offensive. In the ad, a boy made of chocolate was chased by girls and in one scene, a girl was shown taking bite of its backside (most likely this has caused the problem as the rest of the ad looks alright).
The tag line of the ad is "as irresistible as chocolate" and it has being shown for few weeks now both in print and TV media.
Last year, I&B ministry had also banned Amul Macho's "yeh to bada toing hain" as well as Lux Cozy's ad too.
