Sri Lanka has beaten India in the rain interrupted dead rubber match by 112 runs.

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka decided to bat first, which seems to be the preferred choice of captains on Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

After a slow start and losing Sanath Jayasuriya early, BSM Warnapura and ML Udawatte gave Sri Lanka a good foundation with a partnership of 77 Runs but than saw a sudden collapse losing 5 wickets in 55 runs. Struggling at 133 for 6, Mubarak (47 notout) and Tushara (54 not out) gave them excellent finish and took Sri Lanka to a respectable score of 227 for 7. Ojha took 2 wickets for 28.

Many of the matches of rebel league ICL will be played in Ahmedabad's Sardar Patel Stadium. ICL in its second year (this will be its 3rd edition) is starting from 10th of October. The total number of matches to be played in ICL are 34

Sardar Patel stadium was an International avenue before Motera stadium become the first choice.

Delhi high court has issues show cause notice to Sports channel Ten sports for not sharing feed with DD for Indian SriLanka one day matches.

It is worth noting that all the channels who are telecasting One day and 20-20 matches involving India have to share the live feed with State sponsored Doordarshan.

India has "Surprisingly" beaten Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI and has taken a lead of 2-1 with 2 matches still to play. Indian bowlers bowled exceptionally well reducing sri lanka to 6 for 59. Late order resistance and Mahela Jayawardene's 94 (111 balls) game them some hope but it was way too late. Sri Lanka bowled out for 204. Zaheer and Munaf patel took 3 wickets each with Praveen kumar taking 2 wicket.

Earlier, again Indian batsmen struggled in the first half of the inning before dhoni with Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma helped India to reach 237 in 50 Overs. Dhoni played the anchor role and got out in 49th over after making 76 in 80 Balls. Raina made 53 and Rohit Sharma made 32. Though India's nemesis Mendis did got 3 wicket but he conceded 56 Runs.
