The above mentioned sites are not too good for Indian freelancers specifically. For Indian freelancer I found rent A freelance (rentAfreelance.com) to be the best one. They pay in Indian Rupees or US Dollars which I liked the most.

Yes they do. I know some people on Pune and Kanpur who got paid in Indian Rupees for the projets they compelted.
