IIT Cutoff to get increased from 2009
By Dhadkan of India • Aug 26th, 2008 • Category: Higher EducationIn a meeting held at IIT Kharagpur, the resprestantives of IITs felt to change the way JEE cutoffs were decided in the past 2 years.
In 2007 and 2008, the people who scored atleast 80% percent in all the subjects were shortlisted and than people with combined highest aggregate were called. Now as per an official, the cut off may get higher.
The cut off for SC/ST candidates will be as kept at 50% of the general category as like previous years. Another topic which committee discussed was to whether to keep Kota as JEE exam center or not
