Vadivelu Karunakaren skipped 10 miles in 58 minutes.
Arvind Morarbhai Pandya ran 940 miles backward. He did it in 26 days and seven hours.
All these are record-breaking records. And they are from India. India is obsessed with records and breaking them. So many people are trying to break different records and get into the prestigious Guinness record. The main reason behind this may be the urge to become famous, getting society approval, getting a place in the society and getting others’ approval and so on.
When people cannot get a good job, money, name then they try it in another way- they try to break some records and get famous. And they are right. They can make into the big name or popular name at least in their locality and in the state they live in.
The records people try to break may be anything. They do not bother even if it is a very unusual record. They simply want to break the record and get into the record book. But Guinness Records has not approved all such records. According to an official, it mainly accepts records, which are not dangerous. Today, India is in the 10th position in the records list.
