I may be wrong in generalizing it a little but I have full right to do so and to get angry on HDFC people who are managing it. I had applied for my HDFC Credit card over 2 months back and nothing has happened so far. The person who is managing Credit Card section of HDFC, Hyderabad branch is in how own world and is still working the mode of indian bank employees used to work in 80's.
Everytime when I calls him, he makes some absurd reasons like on this saturday I will come or send some one or your form is still processing but nothing happens. I was told that HDFC has to be the shoddiest bank among all and don't go for them but still since it was already having my bank account there, I thought of giving them a try. So much for a try... 
I have already talked to ICICI people and will be going for ICICI credit Card now. I don't know what will happen to my HDFC application and honestly, I don't care about it. If you are looking to apply for Credit Cards in India than check the page to get more info.
