This happens with every person. Whenever you want to spend some good money on camera, you feels like should you buy Digital Camera or go for CamCorder ? of course in terms of quality they both will be different but with same budget, you certainly feels which one should you go for ?

The answer is fairly simple though - If you want to take high quality still pictures then go with Digital Camera because the highest resolution you can get on a camcorder is 3 mega pixel, but you'll be paying a very high price for a camcorder as compared to Digital Camera for obvious reasons. As far as I know, you can buy a digital Camera with 7 mega pixel resolution for around 6000 rupees though do check the prices at local stores/malls. As far as Cam Corder is concerned, Sony handy cam in India comes in the range of 15k to 20k with more high end handy camera can cross 30k easily.

There are lot of other factors as well which decide the price for handcams but sony is the best. By the way, Most if not all new digital cameras can record movies too. So it is your choice - you want quality photo, go with Digital Camera. If you want quality video than go with Handy Camera.

But one advice. which ever you go for. Always choose quality product. In Electronics, never compromise on quality.
